The purpose of this Privacy Statement is to inform you about the types of personal information AnimalConcepts (as follows, “AnimalConcepts”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and discloses. We are aware that you trust us, and we see it as our responsibility to protect your privacy. On this page, we will let you know what information we collect when you use our sites and services, why we collect it, and how we use it to improve your user experience so you'll understand exactly how we work. This privacy policy will help you understand how AnimalConcepts uses and protects the data you provide to us when you visit and use our website, including the INTERBEING Membership Experience.
We are proud to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy by complying with the laws and regulations under applicable privacy laws in Spain and the EU, including GDPR as set out by the European Commission. We will treat personal information in a manner consistent with the version of the Privacy Statement under which it was collected unless we have your consent to treat it differently.
This Privacy Statement applies to any personal information we collect or receive about you, from any source, including through our websites and services (including “www. https://animalconcepts.mykajabi.com/”, “www.animalconcepts.eu”) (each referred to henceforth as a “Site”), use our Kajabi library via the mobile application (referred to henceforth as the “App”), utilise any of our online INTERBEING platforms (“Foundations”, “Animal Wellbeing”, “Human Wellbeing”, “Planetary Wellbeing”, and our online community) (referred to henceforth as “INTERBEING” or “Platforms”) or otherwise interact with us or request services from us. The Sites, Apps, Platforms, and other interactions are collectively the “Services.”
Please read this Privacy Statement carefully. By using any of our Services, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data as described in this Privacy Statement. If any term in this Privacy Statement is unacceptable to you, please do not use our Services or provide any personal information.
Collection of Personal Information
To which companies does this Privacy Statement apply?
This Privacy Statement applies to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information by AnimalConcepts. You should be aware that AnimalConcepts is not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and resources.
What is personal information?
Personal information is any factual or subjective information about an identifiable individual. For example, personal information that we may request includes (but is not limited to):
• Personal identifiers including your name, mailing address, phone numbers, email address, etc.
• Commercial information, such as credit or debit card number or other financial information (i.e. when making purchases for our services);
• Photographs (if you elect to upload one on your personal profile or choose to share images when giving a presentation for us);
• And subjective information including comments, opinions, reviews, and evaluations.
Personal Information does not include any information that is solely used to communicate with you in relation to your employment, business, or profession, such as your position name or title, work address, work telephone number, or work electronic address.
How does AnimalConcepts collect my personal information?
We will always collect your personal information by fair and lawful means. We collect personal information directly from you through use of our Services when, for example, you:
• Complete forms on our Sites or in our App. This includes information provided when you register for an event or online webinar, purchase a product, sign up for our newsletter, or when you provide feedback on our Services through our regular user surveys.
• Register for an account on or otherwise use our Sites, Platforms, or Apps. This information may include, for example, registration data such as your name and email address.
• Provide us with information about authorized users; for example, when an organization purchases and creates an account on behalf of an employee. Information you provide about your authorized users may include their names and email addresses.
• Correspond with us. When you send e-mails or other messages to us, we may retain those messages which may include information such as your e-mail address or other contact information provided within those e-mails. Sometimes we will ask you for additional personal information relevant to the situation in question;
• Purchase a product or service. We collect commercial information, such as credit or debit card number or other relevant financial information, to process transactions.
Subject to applicable laws, AnimalConcepts may collect personal information from you through third-party service providers, including when you connect with us through our official corporate pages via social networks (such as via our Facebook or Instagram) or the “apps” on those pages. This information may include, but is not limited to, name, username, demographic information, updated address or contact information, interests, and publicly observed data, such as from social media and online activity.
What information is automatically collected?
We collect anonymous information about the users of our Sites and Apps. This anonymous information may include, but is not limited to, a user’s browser type, type of computer operating system, and the domain name of the website from which the user was linked to the Site. It also includes information relevant to our Platforms, such as how many times specific pages have been viewed or how often a particular resource is downloaded.
We use this information to enhance website security, determine traffic patterns, to detect broad demographic trends, to assist AnimalConcepts in providing content tailored to our user’s needs and interests, and to otherwise enhance the user experience with our Services.
How does AnimalConcepts protect the privacy of children and minors online?
We are dedicated to safeguarding young people and we do not direct our Sites or Apps to, nor do we knowingly collect any personal data from, children under the age of 16 as set out by Article 8 of the GDPR. If we learn that a child has provided personally identifiable information to any of our Services, our Site, or our App, we will make reasonable efforts to remove such information. If you believe we might have any information from or concerning a child, please contact us immediately.
We recommend that parents and guardians take steps to limit and monitor their children’s internet activities. Please see here for more information about how the EU Commission protects children online.
As a Service providing education to all ages including young students, we are committed to safeguarding minors under the age of 18 where applicable by law. We may make exemptions to this Policy if deemed necessary to protect a minor or vulnerable adult at risk. These exemptions are set out in Article 23 of the GDPR.
Use of Personal Information
How does AnimalConcepts use my personal information?
Whenever we collect your personal information, we will identify the purposes for which we will use that information and we will obtain your consent to such use. We may collect your personal information for a variety of reasons including:
• Sending you information and communications such as email newsletters.
• Responding to direct product inquiries and other requests.
• Completing surveys or providing reviews of our services.
• Processing transactions such as purchase of a course or membership.
• Optimizing your experience on our Sites, App, Platforms and other Services.
• Internal purposes such as analyzing and managing use of our services, and improving our products, services, and promotion efforts.
When and how does AnimalConcepts obtain my consent?
We obtain your consent prior to collecting, using, or disclosing your personal information for any purpose. The form of consent that we seek, including whether it is express or implied, will largely depend on the sensitivity of the personal information and the reasonable expectations you might have in the circumstances.
The provision of your personal data is voluntary. If you do not want us to use your data in any way, do not opt-in when prompted for your consent and discontinue use of all AnimalConcepts Services.

How does AnimalConcepts use cookies?
We may use a “cookie” or similar technology to assist us in customizing our Sites and Apps. A “cookie” is a data file that a website sends to a user’s computer while that user is viewing the site. These data files include information that allows a website to remember information that will make that user’s use of the website more efficient and helpful to them (for example, auto-filling your username and/or password). Cookies do not damage computer systems or files, and only the website that transferred a particular cookie to you can read, modify, or delete such cookies.

Where does AnimalConcepts store my personal information?
We store your personal information in our secure servers. Our service providers, such as Kajabi, may, from time to time, also hold your personal information in connection with the purposes for which you provided your consent. We may keep a record of your personal information, correspondence, or comments in a file specific to you on our Executive Office server if it is relevant for a Service you are being provided.
How long will you use, disclose, or retain my personal information?
We will use, disclose, or retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and as is permitted or required by law, including the law in the jurisdiction in which you preside. AnimalConcepts has established retention periods and secure procedures for maintaining and destroying your personal information depending on the type of information gathered in accordance with the GDPR.
What about User Generated Content?
We may occasionally receive content from our members and other users as part of surveys and feedback forms, discussion forums such as through our Facebook pages, comments on our Kajabi community, and other functions of our Sites (“User Generated Content” or “UGC”). Any UGC you submit may be publicly displayed, including on our Platforms and Sites, and is subject to any terms and conditions communicated to you as part of the submission process. Please be aware of this information when making public posts, for example on our discussion groups, or if you are present at a webinar which is being recorded.
Please remember that any information you disclose in connection with UGC may become public information. Please exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal, financial, or other sensitive information in a comment, post, or while present at recorded sessions. While we will take all of the steps we can to ensure such content is removed if we deem it necessary for your safety and protection, AnimalConcepts cannot prevent such information from being used in a manner that may violate this Privacy Statement, the law, or your personal privacy and safety, and AnimalConcepts is not responsible for the results of posts made by individual users.
What about other AnimalConcepts Communications?
Through our Sites and various offline means, you may sign-up or opt-in to receive communications from AnimalConcepts. In some cases, consent is implied such as under the assumption of an existing business relationship. For example, when registering for AnimalConcepts online events and webinars you will be automatically subscribed to our mailing list. Each communication sent to you by AnimalConcepts contains an “unsubscribe” link in the footer, allowing you to opt-out at any time you choose.
If you opt-in to receive communications from multiple Services hosted by us and subsequently wish to opt-out, you may need to opt-out individually from each of the Services you elected to receive communications from.
Disclosure of Personal Information
Generally, we do not disclose your personal information. In the rare instance that we do, we will identify to whom and for what purposes the disclosure will be made and will obtain your consent to such disclosure.
We only disclose your personal information as is permitted or required by law.
What about Service Providers?
Aside from disclosures, we may use service providers (such as Kajabi) to help us operate our business and our Apps and Sites. We may share your information with these third-parties for those limited purposes.
Each of our service providers is required by contract to comply with our privacy standards to protect the privacy of your personal information, and to only handle your personal information for AnimalConcepts purposes and not for its own purposes.
Openness, Access and Security
How can I review the personal information that AnimalConcepts has collected, used, or disclosed?
AnimalConcepts has a variety of methods available that allow you to review, correct, update or otherwise modify information previously collected from you, including communication preferences. You may:
• Modify your information such as name and email address on your account profile page on the applicable Site or Platform;
• Unsubscribe from our emails using the link at the bottom of AnimalConcepts communications;
• Use the Contact Us form available on our website;
• Email us at [email protected]
You have a right to request information regarding specific personal information of yours that we have collected, processed, used, or disclosed, upon your request, to the extent permitted by law, as set out by Article 15 of the GDPR. We will make such information available to you in a simple format that is generally understandable and free of jargon, including explanations of any abbreviations or codes.
There are no financial costs to you associated with requesting this information.
What if the personal information you have for me is inaccurate?
We will work to ensure that your personal information is kept as accurate, complete, and up-to-date as possible to the best extent that we are able. However, we will not routinely update your personal information ourselves; you will be required to supply us with updates to your personal information whenever it is required to do so, such as if you change e-mail addresses or change your name.
At any time, you may contact us to review, correct, update, or otherwise modify the personal information we have for you. In each case, you must clearly indicate the information that you wish to have changed, or clearly indicate that you wish to have your personal information removed from our database. We will amend our records of your personal information as required if deemed necessary.
Note that we may need to retain certain information for record-keeping purposes. There may also be residual information that will remain within our databases and other records which cannot be removed or changed.
How quickly will you respond to my request?
We will attempt to respond to any requests regarding personal information made to us as soon as is reasonably possible. We will make all reasonable attempts to respond to your request within one calendar month from the date the request is made, and respond in writing if we are unable to respond within this time limit.
Please note that requests for changes to your personal information, even those submitted through our Sites, may not be effective immediately.

How does AnimalConcepts verify identity when requesting access to personal information?
We may request that you provide us with sufficient identification before granting you access to information regarding the existence, use, or disclosure of your personal information in order to protect your data. Any such identification information shall be used only for this purpose and will be promptly destroyed once identification has been accepted.
What safeguards has AnimalConcepts implemented to protect my personal information?
We have implemented physical, organizational, contractual, and technological security measures to protect your personal information from loss or theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.
The only personnel who are granted access to your personal information are those with a business-related “need-to-know” or whose duties reasonably require access to such information.
What type of security do you provide on your Sites?
We have taken reasonable technical, contractual, administrative, and physical security steps to protect the personal information collected from you through our Sites and Apps, consistent with standard industry practice and the sensitivity of the personal information collected. For example, if and when you provide credit card information, we use secure socket layer (SSL) encryption to protect it. These security measures are periodically reviewed.
Note that there are some things that users of our Sites or Apps can do to help protect the security of their personal information. Users should aim to use a unique password when creating an online profile, and should never give out their username and/or password. We will never ask for your login information for any of our Sites beyond our own login page.
Every user should sign out of their account and close their browser window each time they finish using the Internet so that other people using the same computer will not have access to their information, and take particular precautions when using the Sites in shared locations such as library, school, or work computers.
What about links to other sites?
Our Sites and Services may contain links to other websites that are not operated by AnimalConcepts.
AnimalConcepts is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such other websites, including websites operated by affiliated entities. We provide such links only as a convenience and the inclusion of a link on any of our Sites or App does not imply endorsement of the linked website by AnimalConcepts.
If you provide any personal information through any such third-party websites, your transaction will occur on said third-party websites and not on our Sites. The personal information you provide will be collected by and controlled by the privacy policy of that third party and not by us. It is recommended that you review the privacy policies of third-party websites arrived at from links on our Sites before using those websites.

This Privacy Statement is governed by, and interpreted and enforced in accordance with, the privacy laws in force in Spain and the European Union. As we are a global organisation with staff and members around the world, this may reasonably exclude any conflict of laws, rule or principle which might refer such interpretation to the laws of another jurisdiction.
