GOODBYE 2022. HELLO 2023

A GROWING COMMUNITY

2022 has again been a challenging year for the world, in many ways, and we are proud to have represented our values and purpose of being together, providing support for connecting people to nature, and acting as a pillar for change that enhanced the wellbeing of people, animals, and the planet. We are delighted and honoured to do this together with you, welcoming diverse individuals and organisations in the animal care and wellbeing, education, research, and conservation fields. We are thankful for being on this journey with you all. With 2023 on the horizon, we are looking forward, while reflecting on all we have accomplished this year and how we can continue to do our best for ourselves and the animals we care for, and how we can support organisations and individuals in their journey towards one care.

A GROWING TEAM

Global collaboration is one of our core values at AnimalConcepts. Our internal and external team is full of experienced, diverse, and caring individuals, and we celebrate every person’s role in supporting and expanding the services and resources we have available advocating for animal, human, and planetary wellbeing. We welcomed two of our external global collaborators as full members of staff this year and have also continued to welcome and provide opportunities for volunteers and external collaborators throughout the year, and look forward to welcoming new collaborators at the start of the year.

GROWING PLATFORMS

Throughout 2022 we have added new resources to the ever-growing library of practical activities, webposters, webinars, and other learning materials across all three platforms. Very soon we will announce some new developments in relation to the interconnectedness of all beings and things - that all exist in relationship to each other. Stay tuned!

A GROWING MESSAGE

We have shared our values and ethos across the world this year, with speakers joining us from many diverse backgrounds, countries, and sensibilities. We have also carried out our activities from workshops in France and Ireland to conferences in Scotland and Iceland and increased our research output with papers on topics such as sustainability in animal feed sourcing and back-of-house traditions in primates, as well as writing sabbaticals on bird wellbeing and ethics among many others. We will continue with such activities in 2023, working with different partners to extend our community and grow our message. We hope you are excited to be with us for 2023, we are for sure delighted to be with you!
